Ask these before the first infusion chair
Infusion therapy is easier when the paperwork and the clinical plan are aligned. These five questions help Phoenix patients and caregivers talk with the clinic and the specialty pharmacy before visit one.
Integrated Rx Specialty infusion suite: 727 E Bethany Home Road, Suite B110, Phoenix, AZ 85014. (602) 975-6025.
1. Where will I receive the infusion, and why that site?
Hospital outpatient, an ambulatory infusion suite, or home infusion are different sites of care. Plans may require justification. Compare options in in-clinic vs. home infusion.
2. Does this drug need prior authorization?
If yes, who is submitting it, and how will you hear the decision? Our team handles prior authorization support with the prescriber.
3. What happens if I react during the infusion?
Ask what monitoring looks like and who is in the suite. A staffed AIS is built for routine specialty infusions, not every emergency. Your prescriber decides if a hospital is required.
4. How will refills and reauthorization stay on schedule?
Infusion calendars slip when product, nursing, and insurance dates are tracked separately. Ask how the pharmacy coordinates the next dose. See keeping infusion on schedule.
5. Who do I call after hours?
Integrated Rx Specialty has a pharmacist available 24/7. Save (602) 975-6025. More answers are on the FAQ. To refer or ask about a first visit, contact us.
