Job Description
As an Insurance & Reimbursement Specialist, you will lead efforts to secure coverage and financial assistance for patients relying on complex, often costly, medication therapies. You'll be responsible for investigating insurance benefits, submitting prior authorizations, and identifying manufacturer or foundation assistance programs when needed.
Your work will include processing claims, managing appeals, and communicating with payers to resolve coverage issues. You'll collaborate with pharmacists, patient care coordinators, and providers to make sure patients can access and afford the medications they need.
This role requires a detail-oriented mindset and a strong understanding of both insurance processes and patient advocacy. By navigating coverage barriers and identifying assistance options, you'll help remove one of the biggest obstacles patients face in starting and staying on therapy.
